From Pilot to Pipe Maker

Enjoy his pipes and his flying

Kevin is skilled in many areas. In addition to being an engineer and pilot, he is a wonderful husband, father, and personal friend.

However, it is his pipe-making skills that we focus on here. I have known him since the beginning of his pipe-making journey. He quickly mastered shapes and technical details to become one of the prominent American artisans in the hobby. I started collecting his pipes by purchasing his 50th pipe for my 50th birthday. Since then, he continues to astonish me with his continual improvements.

A pipe by Kevin Foster is a pipe with personality. He is full of joy and companionship in real life. And that translates to his briar pipes. As a collector, I can tell he has a little “something special” when I smoke his pipes.
